St. Mary’s GAA Club was founded in 1976, and currently fields teams from under 8 to adult level. We are based in Dick Kent Park, Ballydoogan Road, Sligo and our facilities include a full-size all-weather pitch, a training pitch, dressing rooms, a handball/racquetball court and a large clubhouse which is a hub for all forms of club and community activity. We also host Gaelscoil Chnoc na Ré on our club grounds. The Gaelscoil moved to Kent Park in 1998 and currently has over 220 students being educated through Irish.
The club has a proud history and has had many successes throughout the years. Most recently we won the Sligo Senior Men’s Championship in 2015, and the Ladies County Intermediate title in 2017.
Our underage structures are managed through our Bord na nOg section and have provided football for thousands of kids over the years. Our Saturday Morning Coaching programme was launched in 2000 offering kids from as young as 5 an introduction to Gaelic Football.
