Senior ladies
Hard luck to our senior ladies who were beaten by Drumcliffe/Rosses Point at the weekend. The high-scoring game finished 4-9 to 7-12 in favour of the away side. Next up is St. Patrick’s at home next Sunday, throwing in at 10.30am.
The Junior ladies had their first outing of the season at home to Drumcliff/Rosses point on Sunday morning. A young home team led by 2 pts at half time and won on a scoreline of 3-9 to 2-7. Next up is home match vs St Patrick’s next Sunday at 10.30.
U16 girls
Congratulations to our U16 girls team and management who were winners over Tourlestrane last week on a scoreline of 6-15 to 3-7. This means that the girls won all five league games and are now straight through to the County Final! Well done all!
U15 boys
Well done to our U16 boys team who are through to the County Final. The lads were victorious over Eastern Harps in the semi final after extra-time, eventually winning 3-14 to 2-12. Each and every team member showed massive heart to finish strongly and grind out the win. Congratulations to all involved on reaching the decider against St. Johns – details tbc.
U14 girls
Our U14 girls team have also qualified for the Division 1 final! The game has been scheduled for Friday 3rd June at 6pm in Ballisodare. CT Gaels are the opponents, and all support is encouraged!
GAA for Dads and Lads!
As part of our participation in the Irish Life Healthy Clubs initiative, we are running GAA for Dads and Lads every Thursday at 8.30pm for the next 5 weeks! GAA for Dads and Lads is social football, aimed at people who have stopped playing or who never played and want to meet up, have some fun, and keep healthy in an enjoyable environment. After a 15 minute warm-up we will play two 10 minute halves of non-contact football, with everyone getting equal game time. Only requirement is that you are a non-playing member of the club. Come along, give it a try and enjoy a kick about in our new social football initiative!
