Senior men
Our senior men had an important win over Tubbercurry in their final group match of the championship. An impressive first half saw us lead 1-9 to 1-0 at the break, only for Tubbercurry to battle back with second half goals. 2-6 from Nathan Rooney as well as 0-3 from Michael Munnelly and a point each from Eamon Flynn and Patrick Maher helped us over the line. We now must wait on results in the other group games to determine where we finish in the group.
Team: Mark Mulhern, Fionn O’Hehir, Luke Nicholson, David Phillips, Ryan Feehily, Paul Kilcoyne, Tony O’Kelly-Lynch, Cian Breheny, Gerard O’Kelly-Lynch, Patrick Maher, Emlyn Mulligan, Michael Munnelly, Eamon Flynn, Nathan Rooney, Stephen Henry. Subs: Mark McGoldrick, Conor Darcy
Senior ladies
Our senior and junior ladies are back in championship action this coming weekend. Both teams face Tourlestrane in Kent Park on Sunday morning, with the seniors throwing in at 9.30, and the juniors at 11.30.
Junior men
The junior mens team had their final group game of the championship cancelled as Coolaney/Mullinabreena were unable to field a team. As a result they have finished level on points with Shamrock Gaels and because score difference cannot come into play, they will play-off on Sunday to reach the knockout stages. Throw-in is 2pm in Connolly Park.
Minor girls
Well done to our minor girls who won the ‘B’ Championship Shield defeating St. Nathy’s in Kent Park. In a keenly contested first half the home side finished strongly to lead on a scoreline of 3-4 to 0-7 at the break. St Mary’s had a very strong 3rd quarter and finished the game worthy winners on a scoreline of 4-14 to 0-9. Well done girls!

U12 girls
Hard luck to our U12 girls who were beaten in the A championship final by a strong Shamrock Gaels team. We are very proud of our girls who fought to the end and never gave up. Many of the team were playing their first year of football and put in a brilliant effort all year. Thanks to all coaches and parents for their support all year.
