Senior ladies

Hard luck to our senior ladies team who were beaten in the Senior B County Final by Tourlestrane yesterday.
After falling behind early on the team showed brilliant character and determination that has been typical of them all year to take the lead in the third quarter thanks to goals from Tara Breheny, Michaela Gaffney and Emma Corcoran. They battled right to the end but lost out by 2 points in the end to a strong Tourlestrane side 2-9 to 3-4.

It is a very young team and we are all very proud of what they achieved this year. Huge thanks to Shane, Sinead, Orla and all management for their excellent work all year and thanks to all supporters who got behind the team

Team: Laura Muldoon, Aoife Gilroy, Leah Rooney, Ali Dykes, Sarah Keaney, Aoife Connolly, Emily Nicholson, Keighleigh Cawley, Emma Corcoran, Kayla Breheny, Helen Monaghan, Tara Breheny, Ciara Gilroy, Michaela Gaffney, Ruth Monaghan

Junior ladies

The junior ladies were in action in Kent Park vs Drumcliffe/Rosses Point on Sunday in a play-off decider. Facing a strong wind in the first half they trailed by 3 points at the break. The girls gradually edged ahead in the second half and despite losing a player to a yellow card for 10 minutes in the final quarter, the home team did enough to progress on a scoreline of 6-7 to 5- 7 in an entertaining game. Next up is the semi-final away to Tourlestrane next Sunday.
