Senior Men’s

Our senior men’s team were beaten by Tourlestrane in the Kiernan Cup semi final. After being level at the break on a scoreline of 1-5 each, the home side were victorious by 1-15 to 2-9. Congratulations to Cormac Niland on making his senior debut.  Next weekend the men’s team return to league action at home to Coolaney/Mullinabreena at 7pm on Saturday night in Kent Park.

Senior Ladies

On Sunday morning our ladies senior team beat Geevagh in a cracking game. In perfect conditions for football the game finished 5-13 to 2-13 in Kent Park. Next up is St. Nathy’s away next Sunday.

Junior Ladies

After the senior ladies match, our junior team played Tourlestrane in Kent Park. The game finished on a scoreline of 3-10 to 0-6 in favour of a strong Tourlestrane team. The juniors have a bye next weekend.

U14 Girls

3 wins out of 3 for the U14 girls who beat Tourlestrane in a tough, competitive game on Sunday evening  on a scoreline of 3-11 to 3-3. Well done to the all the girls who battled hard for 60 minutes deserving their win. The girls have a break now and are back in action Thursday 8th July.

U13 Boys

Both of our u13 boys teams got off to a winning start on Friday in what was their debuts on the larger pitch which uses the full width of the pitch but is slightly shortened. The younger side battled back against a strong St. Molaise Gaels team to win by 3 points. The older group were more comprehensive winners, but a well done must go out to Pierce, Ronan, Alan, Jack and Blaise who stepped up to help their older counterparts.

Sligo Senior Footballers

Hard luck to the Sligo Senior Men’s team who were knocked out of the Connacht Championship by last years All Ireland finalists Mayo. St. Mary’s have 5 representatives in the set up – Ryan Feehily, Paul Kilcoyne, Nathan Rooney, Cian Breheny and selector Mark Breheny. You did us proud and we are looking forward to having you all back playing with us over the coming months.
