Senior men

Hard luck to our senior mens team who were defeated by Tourlestrane in the county senior final on Sunday. A hard-working team performance saw us lead throughout the game, however Tourlestrane equalised in injury time to take the game to extra time where they came out on top by two points. There were exceptional performances all over the pitch from the men in red and black with Ryan Feehily and Gerard O’Kelly-Lynch leading by example while Nathan Rooney top scored with 8 points. A massive word of thanks to the management team of Mark, David, Peadar, Garry and Damien who left no stone unturned and prepared the team brilliantly. Alongside them are plenty of other club volunteers who gave up their time to assist the team in various other capacities – Stephan Scanlon, Rachael Dunne, Therese Devaney, Ronnie Brennan, Aidan Power, Simon Buckley, Brendan Munnelly and Ronan Niland all playing important roles. Looking forward to next year already.

Senior ladies

Another huge day for the club this weekend as our senior ladies team play the Connacht intermediate quarter final. Best of luck to Shane and the team against Boyle. The game throws in at 1pm in Kent Park on Saturday – come out and support them as they look to progress to the semi final! Get your tickets here now!

Minor boys

A huge congrats to our minor boys who were crowned ‘A’ championship winners on Sunday last. A tightly contested final was level at three points apiece at half time before a strong last 20 minutes saw us pull away. Goals from Conor Flynn led us to a 2-8 to 0-6 win, while Stefan Roche, Robert O’Kelly-Lynch, Ronan Niland and James Cronin also had strong performances on the day. Well done to Aidan, Peadar and all involved on a super victory to go with the league title won earlier this year!
