Senior Ladies

Well done to our senior ladies who beat Geevagh in round 2 of the championship on Sunday morning. The teams shared ten goals between them with us coming out on top in a tight finish 6-7 to 4-10. The ladies are now two wins from two in the championship.

Junior ladies

Also on Sunday morning our junior ladies were victorious in another goal-fest. We fielded a very young side that showed impressive skill to beat Drumcliffe/Rosses Point 9-9 to 3-6 in an entertaining battle. Next up for our junior ladies is Tourlestrane at home on the 26th of September.

Senior men

Best of luck to our senior men who face Tubbercurry in their final group game of this years championship. Throw-in is 5.30pm on Saturday evening in Markievicz Park. Lets get up and support the lads.

Junior men

Best of luck also to our junior men who play Coolaney/Mullinabreena in the last round of the junior championship group stage on Sunday. Throw-in is 3pm in Ransboro.

Minor ladies

The minor ladies finished the championship group stages with a seven point defeat to St. Nathy’s last Tuesday evening. They qualified for the shield semi final vs Shamrock Gaels scheduled for last Friday, however were granted a walk over by the opposition. They will now play St. Nathy’s in the shield final this Friday 17th in Kent park at 6.15pm.

U13 boys

Hard luck to both of our U13 boys teams who were beaten in cup finals last week. Our older U13 squad were beaten by St. John’s in the ‘A’ final by 3-9 to 1-5. The lads had been unbeaten in the competition up to this and battled right to the end in the final while also missing some key players.

The younger group were then defeated by St. Molaise Gaels in the ‘C’ final on Wednesday evening. We came out the wrong end of a 5-10 to 3-6 battle but can be proud of the skills and attitude we showed. Both U13 teams are now in championship quarter final action on Tuesday evening.

All-Ireland Final Draw

Well done to John Clifford who was the winner of our two All-Ireland Final tickets plus a night in The Mespil Hotel. Thanks to all who entered and supported the club by helping to raise important funds to continue our development.
