Junior Men

Well done to our junior men’s team who had a thrilling win over Cloonacool on Sunday. In scorching heat the game was highly exciting and a strong last 10 minutes saw us win by three points on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-11. It was a gutsy team performance with impressive performances all over the pitch. We will now play a relegation play-off match, with date and opposition to be confirmed.

U16 Girls

Well done to our U16 Girls team who beat Owenmore Gaels in Division 2 of the league. Three goals gave us the victory on a scoreline of 3-5 to 0-4.

U14 Girls

The U14 girls played their last league game with an impressive win over St Farnan’s in St Mary’s on Thursday evening on a score line of 6-11 to 1-4. The girls worked tirelessly up and down the field making it a really enjoyable game to watch with some excellent team work and skills on display.
This dedicated group of girls continue to improve each week, working exceptionally hard both at training and matches – deserving their place is the division 2 cup final on Saturday July 31st.

U11 Boys

Both of our U11 Boys teams continued their impressive form with victories over neighbours St. Johns. A lot of brilliant performances as always with this group, mixing top skills and hard work all while playing with a smile on their faces! u11 boys b v johns july 21

U7 Boys

Our U7 Boys made their playing debuts last week against Shamrock Gaels. Well done to Brían O’Donnell who demonstrated great leadership and gave the boys fantastic encouragement and support. Watch out for this team of fire crackers who showed great teamwork and defiance! u7 boys debut july 21

County Representatives

It was a proud week for the club as we had several county representatives on multiple county teams. Sisters Aoife and Ciara Gilroy were on the Sligo Ladies Senior Team that were narrowly beaten by Westmeath 2-12 to 2-10. Kayla Breheny, Helen Monaghan, Casey Cox, Hannah Burrows, Cianna Ruddy, and Tara Una McGarry were all on the U18 Ladies team that were beaten by Galway in round 2 of the Connacht Championship. Dylan Streete, Connor Flynn and Shea O’Neill played for Sligo U16 Boys, James Cronin, Clyde Regan, Eli Rooney and Matthew Mulholland played for the U15 Boys, and Odhran Buckley, Patrick Brady, Roghan O’Neill, Conor Murray, and coach Gary O’Hehir, represented Sligo U14’s in the Connacht Centre of excellence.
