Senior men

On Saturday evening our senior men’s team ground out a 1-11 to 1-11 draw with Coolaney/Mullinabreena in Kent Park. Having conceded a goal early on we trailed for most of the game. However, a strong finish after the second water break saw us come away with a draw thanks to a late Emlyn Mulligan goal.

Team: Jack Keegan, Fionn O’Hehir, David Phillips, Conor Darcy, Ryan Feehily, Johnny Lynch, Johnny Martyn, Jay Cox, Paul Kilcoyne, Kyle Cawley, Emlyn Mulligan, Patrick Maher, Eamon Flynn, Nathan Rooney, Mark McGoldrick

Our junior men were well beaten by a strong Tourlestrane team on Sunday. In wet conditions we fell to a 5-22 to 0-10 loss. Congrats to junior debutants Mark O’Hehir, Johnny Stewart and Donal Fidgeon. Our last league game is against Cloonacool on Sunday 18th July.

U13 Boys

On Friday night both of our U13 boys teams defeated St. Johns in Kent Park to remain unbeaten in the league. The older team won on a scoreline of 9-16 to 2-8, while the younger team 6-11 to 3-5. Both games were highly entertaining, with 20 goals being scored. Best wishes to Ronan Mullen who is currently recovering from injury.

Sligo Hurlers

Hard luck to Sligo hurlers who were beaten by Offaly in their first game of the Nicky Rackard cup. Club players Niall Feehily, Michael Munnelly, Tony & Gerard O’Kelly-Lynch all started the game, with Gerard scoring 2-12 in another classy performance. It is a huge achievement for Sligo to be competing at the same level as Offaly, well done to all on the development of the team over the past few years.

Club Bar Terrace

Our club bar terrace continues to be open Thursday to Sunday, and recently installed outdoor gas heaters to add to the outdoor dining experience. Between the canopy’s, the TV and now the heaters it is the ideal place to meet friends and family. Call up and check it out.
